Knox County Foundation’s Youth Philanthropy Initiative is accepting grant applications from non-profit organizations serving the youth of Knox County. Organizations may apply for grants up to $5,000 through Tuesday, Dec. 31, for projects or programs serving Knox County youth, ages 0 to 18.

Additionally, the Youth Philanthropy Initiative invites students to submit applications of up to $500 for student-driven charitable projects. YPI encourages students to come up with unique, creative projects focused on helping other students and youth. Students must be under the guidance of a teacher or school staff member and complete the project before December 31, 2020.

The Youth Philanthropy Initiative is composed of students representing all Knox County High Schools and who are focused on learning the essentials of community-based philanthropy, being engaged in fundraising, and participating in grant-making activities that provide significant funding for youth-focused projects locally. Last year, the Youth Philanthropy Initiative awarded $24,000 to 12 charitable organizations providing services to Knox County youth.

Organizations and students can download the YPI Grant application in fillable PDF format under the “Grants and Scholarships” tab on the Foundation’s website: www.knoxcf.org.
