For this grant cycle, the commissioners seek evidence-based or proven children and family support projects that help addiction-impacted families heal. Projects may focus on navigation of system resources, grief and trauma supports, or other innovative strategies that demonstrate creativity while achieving meaningful outcomes.

The Expression of Intent (EOI) Form is due Oct. 3. Full applications are due Oct. 10. Both forms can be found at https://www.knoxcf.org/apply-for-a-grant/

While the Knox County Foundation hosts the grant application portal, the Knox County commissioners provide all funding. If awarded a grant, organizations will receive funding from the commissioners.

Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, public charities as defined by the IRS, and government agencies. Grants are awarded for a 12-month period.

Recipients must submit a semi-annual report with budget and narrative updates. Full application guidelines and criteria are available with the application materials.

The Knox OneOhio Advisory Workgroup will also host a virtual grant training and Q&A session on Thursday, Aug. 28, at 1 p.m. Interested participants should contact Lisa Lloyd, workgroup member, at [email protected] to receive the Zoom link.

“We are committed to using OneOhio settlement funds to make a lasting difference in the lives of families and children impacted by addiction,” said the commissioners. “This grant program represents an important step toward healing and resilience in our community.”
