Class of 2020 Youth Philanthropy Initiative applications accepted through June 5
Applications are now being accepted for Class of 2020 Youth Philanthropy Initiative membership from Knox County high school students. One member from each local high school and one homeschool student will be admitted to the YPI program for the upcoming year.
The Youth Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) develops students’ knowledge and skills as active and informed philanthropists, bringing positive and lasting change in the Knox County Community. Students engage in fundraising for a permanent endowment fund and use the community philanthropy knowledge gained to award grants to local non-profit agencies for youth-focused projects throughout Knox County.
Rising sophomores interested in learning more about YPI may contact Lisa Behr, Program Manager, at the Community Foundation (740-326-4297), any current YPI member (see “Youth Philanthropy Initiative” tab on the Community Foundation website www.knoxcf.org, or their high school guidance counselor. The application is available on-line as an easy to complete PDF form and must be submitted in typewritten form.
The application deadline is June 5, 2017.
