Applications are now being accepted for Class of 2019 Youth Philanthropy Initiative membership from Knox County high school students. The Community Foundation-sponsored organization plans to admit one new member from each local high school and one home school student for the upcoming YPI program year. The Youth Philanthropy Initiative engages in fundraising for its permanent endowment fund, and uses the community philanthropy knowledge it gains, to assist them in awarding grants each year to local non-profit agencies for youth-focused projects throughout Knox County.

Rising sophomores interested in learning more about YPI may contact Community Foundation Director Sam Barone (740-392-3270) or any current YPI member (see “Youth Philanthropy” tab on the Community Foundation website www.knoxcf.org). The application is available on-line as an easy to complete PDF form (YPI Application 2016-17 Form), and must be submitted in typewritten form.

Applications deadline is June 3, 2016.
