Charities strengthen families and communities in countless ways. That’s why it is worth the effort of charitable leaders to ensure they are living up to their legal obligations in ensuring the sound and ethical operation of the organization. The Ohio Attorney General’s Charitable Law Section is unveiling Charitable University, a new initiative aimed at putting tools in the hands of charitable board members and key leaders so they can govern the organization with maximum effectiveness for impact.
Knox County Foundation is excited to bring Charitable University to Knox County in advance of the statewide launch this January. This training will cover:
- Board governance and policies
- Financial reporting and internal controls
- Fundraising issues
- Government filings and record keeping
- Charitable gaming and bingo
- All of the basics needed to protect the valuable resources entrusted to your organization to make a difference
Those who participate in this training opportunity will receive Charitable University completion certificates from the Ohio Attorney General’s Office and will be listed on the AG’s web page with others who make this training investment throughout the state.
Please arrive 15 minutes early.
