Organizations wishing to apply for funding from the Knox County Foundation’s Youth Philanthropy Initiative (YPI), in any amount up to $5,000, may apply through Friday, Dec. 30, 2022. Since its founding in 2012, YPI has awarded more than $190,000 to organizations serving Knox County youth.

Organizations with a specific, unique project or program benefitting youth in Knox County are eligible to apply for a YPI grant. Interested applicants can find the application online.

The Youth Philanthropy Initiative is composed of students representing Knox County high schools, who are dedicated to learning the skills associated with operating and funding non-profit organizations. Its grant making efforts are completely student-driven and distinct from the Foundation’s annual Community Impact grant program which allocates funding to meet new and emerging needs in Knox County.
