Organizations wishing to apply for funding from the Knox County Foundation’s Youth Philanthropy Initiative (YPI), in any amount up to $5,000, may apply through Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020. Last year, YPI members awarded $31,000 to 14 charitable organizations providing services to Knox County youth, from 0 to age 18.

Organizations with a specific, unique project or program benefiting youth in Knox County are eligible to apply for a YPI grant. Interested applicants can fill out their information through the new Online Grant Portal on the KCF website.

The Youth Philanthropy Initiative is composed of students representing Knox County high schools, who are dedicated to learning the skills associated with operating and funding non-profit organizations. Its grant making efforts are completely student-driven and distinct from the Foundation’s annual Community Impact grant program which allocates funding to meet new and emerging needs in Knox County.
