The Universal Scholarship Application for both traditional and non-traditional students is now available on the Community Foundation of Mount Vernon & Knox County website www.knoxcf.org. The 2017 submission deadline is March 1, and all scholarship announcements will be made in May.

Non-traditional students generally are adults retraining for an alternate career, or those enrolling in post-secondary studies for the first time.

The Community Foundation will award more than $750,000 in scholarship assistance in 2017. While the majority of scholarships are need-based, requiring submission of the F.A.F.S.A. Student Aid Report, several Community Foundation scholarships are merit-based only and do not require applicants to provide family financial information. The application for Community Foundation scholarships is easily downloaded and completed on-screen before printing for signature and submission.

Graduating high school students submit their applications by the deadline to their respective guidance counselors. Home-schooled students, students already in college and all non-traditional applicants submit their application directly to the Community Foundation of Mount Vernon & Knox County, One South Main Street, P.O. Box 309, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050. No applications will be accepted after the deadline.
