Reconnecting Future Leaders to Knox County
The Youth Philanthropy Internship empowers college students to reconnect with their hometown while gaining meaningful, hands-on experience with local nonprofit organizations. Through this 8-week paid internship, students contribute to real community impact while developing leadership, project management, and nonprofit skills.

For Students
Are you a college junior or senior from Knox County? Spend your summer doing work that matters.
What You’ll Gain:
- $15/hour for up to 200 hours of work
- Real-world experience with a nonprofit
- Leadership and professional development
- Deeper connection to your community
Interns have worked on:
- Community events and outreach
- Website updates and digital storytelling
- Video interviews to highlight community impact
- Surveys and assessments with local businesses
- Marketing and social media campaigns

For Nonprofits
Partner with us to host a passionate intern and help shape Knox County’s future philanthropic leaders.
Why Host an Intern?

Host nonprofits must:
- Provide a structured project or role
- Place the intern on payroll at $15/hr (fully reimbursed)
