The Youth Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) accepts grant applications up to $5,000 from organizations in February each year. Grants are intended to address the needs of Knox County youth, age 0 to 18. Special consideration is given to projects and programs that target the YPI priorities, as determined by its most recent needs assessment. These current priorities include alcohol and drug use, bullying & discrimination, risky sexual behavior, academic underachievement, and career/college prospects after graduation.

In addition, the Youth Philanthropy Initiative also invites Knox County schools to submit applications for student led charitable projects. One project per school will be chosen to receive up to $500 for a unique, creative philanthropic project. Projects must be completed before December 31 of the grant year.

All grant applications will be completed through our Online Grant Portal. If you have questions regarding the portal, please review the PDF and video tutorials about creating an account, applying, and managing your dashboard.
